Industrial / Office RFP

This is an unbuilt RFP entry for a company in suburban Minneapolis. The prompt included a selected site, general program, and boilerplate language about the company’s goals for the new headquarters and production facilities.

I led the development of the concept and design.

  • The Program

This is the initial programmatic requirements. 30k SF production (yellow) + 18k SF office (blue).

  • Extruded Form

The program shaped into a 30’ x 30’ module for maximum efficiency, arranged according to the conceptual venn diagram.

  • Buildable Form

By splitting the blue office portion and stacking it, it accommodates the higher ceiling requirements of the yellow production area and creates a more compact footprint. This also creates a dramatic double-height volume for the green common amenity space.
